The KPOPWORLD Festival and Worldwide Dance Competition, originally scheduled for October 28–31 at San Antonio’s Alamodome, has been postponed to 2027. Organizers cited uncertainty over whether some international artists and groups would receive U.S. visas in time.
The advertised lineup included Jay Park, The Rose, Wonho, Dayoung and CRAVITY. The four-day program also included a competition involving 32 dance teams from 29 countries, two concert days and an international vendor area.
The October 2026 event will not take place. Ticketmaster purchases are expected to be refunded. The organizer intends to return in 2027, but new dates and a final lineup have not been announced.
The 2026 dates have been removed
The word “postponed” does not mean the festival will take place later in 2026. The October dates are no longer going ahead, and the organizer is now referring to a 2027 event.
There is no confirmed replacement date. The artists advertised for 2026 should not be treated as a confirmed 2027 lineup.
According to the organizer’s statement reported by local media, Ticketmaster purchases will be refunded to the original buyer and original payment method. Existing buyers are also expected to receive presale codes before tickets return to sale.
The announcement does not establish automatic reimbursement for flights, hotels or other bookings purchased separately.
The affected artists were not identified
The organizer referred to uncertainty involving visas for some international artists and groups. It did not name them.
The announcement also did not say that the applications had been denied. The stated problem was whether the process could be completed in time to guarantee the planned lineup.
There is no public basis for blaming a particular artist or agency. The immigration status of individual performers has not been disclosed.
A reduced lineup changes the event that was sold
A multi-artist festival cannot always solve a visa problem by removing one name from a poster.
Artists may travel with managers, dancers, stylists and production personnel. Rehearsal time, local transportation, stage changes and technical equipment are arranged around a detailed running order.
If several acts remain uncertain, the organizer may have to change the duration and production plan. Fans may also have bought tickets specifically for one or two advertised artists.
KPOPWORLD said it chose postponement rather than presenting a substantially reduced lineup.

Refund timing may vary according to the payment provider. Fans who made separate travel arrangements should keep the postponement notice and their booking records while contacting each provider.
Information still missing for 2027
The organizer still needs to announce the new date, confirm whether the Alamodome remains the venue, name the revised lineup and explain how the dance competition and VIP packages will be handled.
K-pop recordings can reach another country immediately. A concert requires artists and staff to cross borders under the relevant immigration and work rules. The San Antonio postponement is a current example of that practical difference.
