Wonyoung Makeup: How a Soft Pink, Glossy AMUSE Look Was Built

Updated: September 30, 2026

In one of Wonyoung’s 2023 AMUSE beauty shoots, pink appears in more than one place. The eyes carry a cool, softly spread rose tone. The lips sit in the same broad color family, but their surface catches light differently: the color looks wetter, fuller and more reflective. The face does not read as one flat block of pink because color is only part of the construction.

This article is about that documented 2023 AMUSE look and the products Wonyoung’s makeup artist Seo Ok discussed with Allure Korea. It is not a reconstruction of Wonyoung’s current 2026 routine, and it does not fill the gaps with unverified lash, blush or skincare claims.

Scope: AMUSE pictorial material discussed by makeup artist Seo Ok in the November 29, 2023 Allure Korea feature and video. Historical campaign evidence stays historical; it is not presented as Wonyoung’s current private makeup routine.

The products we can actually connect to the look

The strongest part of the source material is its specificity.

For the glossy lip in the AMUSE pictorial, Allure Korea identifies AMUSE Gel-Fit Tint 06 Seoul Girl. Seo Ok said Wonyoung chose the shade herself on set.

For the cool pink eye makeup, the feature identifies AMUSE Eye Color Palette 02 Cool Rose. Seo Ok demonstrated the shadow in the accompanying Allure content and discussed the eye look that had generated questions after the pictorial appeared.

The base needs more careful wording.

Seo Ok said she uses AMUSE Dew Wear Foundation to emphasize Wonyoung’s clear skin texture. That is useful evidence about the artist’s base choice around Wonyoung. It is not the same sentence as “this exact foundation was the sole base product in every frame of this AMUSE shoot.”

Celebrity beauty writing often becomes less accurate when those distinctions are ironed flat. A product connected to a specific campaign shot, a product an artist says she generally uses on a celebrity, and a product guessed from a fan screenshot do not deserve the same certainty.

Base

Source: Seo Ok said she uses AMUSE Dew Wear Foundation to emphasize Wonyoung’s natural-looking skin texture.

Visual role: a relatively quiet, even base lets the pink eye and glossy lip remain easy to read.

Eyes

Confirmed for the pictorial: AMUSE Eye Color Palette 02 Cool Rose.

Visual role: the pink is spread across an area rather than behaving like one sharply reflective point.

Lips

Confirmed for the pictorial: AMUSE Gel-Fit Tint 06 Seoul Girl, which Seo Ok said Wonyoung selected on set.

Visual role: color and moving highlights share the same small curved surface.

Pink does not behave the same way everywhere

If the look is reduced to a shopping list, the structure disappears.

Pink shadow sits on the eye area as a colored surface. Its edges can fade gradually into surrounding skin. Matte, satin and shimmer particles can make different areas of the same eye makeup catch light differently, but the overall shape still reads across a broader zone.

A glossy lip behaves differently because the lip is curved and the finish is more reflective. As the head moves, a highlight can become brighter on one part of the lip and quieter on another. The underlying pink remains, but the eye receives an additional piece of information: a small moving reflection.

This difference is easy to overlook in a still product swatch.

Two swatches on a forearm might confirm that both products belong to a pink or rose family. They do not show how the same colors behave on an eyelid and a moving lip under a beauty-lighting setup.

That is one reason a celebrity campaign can be more useful as a composition study than as a list of items to buy.

The eye makeup is a field of color

Look first at the eye without thinking about product names.

Where does the pink begin? How far above the lash line does it travel? Does it remain concentrated near the center, or become softer toward the edge? How much of the eye shape is still defined by liner and lashes rather than the pink itself?

Those questions reveal the visual construction more clearly than the word “cool-tone.”

The shade name Cool Rose is helpful because it records the product selected for the pictorial. It should not be converted into a new personal-color diagnosis of Wonyoung based on one campaign.

Seo Ok’s comments in the 2023 feature include observations about cool colors suiting Wonyoung. That is the makeup artist’s stated judgment. It does not give this article a basis to diagnose the celebrity’s undertone by photograph or to declare that every future Wonyoung look belongs to the same palette.

For the reader, the more transferable lesson is placement.

The same rose shadow could look much heavier if packed into a smaller, darker area. Spread more softly, it becomes part of the atmosphere of the face rather than a single graphic feature.

The lip has another variable: moving shine

The Gel-Fit Tint 06 Seoul Girl reference is unusually useful because the shade is tied directly to the 2023 pictorial in the artist interview.

Seo Ok also described Wonyoung as someone who has long enjoyed a moist, glossy lip style. That helps explain why the surface finish is not incidental to the look.

Gloss changes the way a camera sees the mouth.

Color establishes the underlying pink. A reflective film adds brighter highlights on top. Because the lips curve and move, those highlights can change position between frames.

A still photograph captures one favorable instant. Video reveals more of the behavior: the highlight compresses when the lips close, shifts when the face turns, and can become stronger or weaker as the light angle changes.

None of that tells us exactly how the tint will look on another person.

Natural lip color, amount applied, lighting, camera settings and any additional lip preparation all affect the final image. “Seoul Girl” identifies the documented product choice. It is not a universal promise that the shade will reproduce Wonyoung’s campaign lip on every viewer.

The primary source is the artist, not a reconstruction

Primary visual source: Seo Ok’s Allure Korea interview on Wonyoung’s makeup, published in November 2023. Watch the product demonstrations and the distinctions she makes between base, glossy lip and pink eye makeup. This is a Korean-language primary-source video; this article does not claim that verified English subtitles are available.
The value of this clip is provenance: Seo Ok is the artist discussing the documented products and her work with Wonyoung. It should not be used to invent a 2026 routine or to treat every detail demonstrated in the interview as part of the single AMUSE pictorial discussed here.

Why the base stays relatively quiet

Celebrity makeup articles often spend the most words on glowing skin because it photographs beautifully. The base in this look works better as supporting structure.

If the eye color and lip shine are meant to be noticed quickly, competing patches of heavy contour, opaque powder or another strong color could change the balance of the face. A relatively even base gives the two pink focal areas room to register.

This is visual analysis of the finished campaign material.

It should not be expanded into a claim that one foundation created Wonyoung’s skin appearance by itself.

A beauty image can involve skin preparation, foundation, concealer, powder, targeted glow products, lighting, lens choice, exposure and post-production. The 2023 source does not provide a complete technical map of every one of those steps.

Seo Ok did discuss Wonyoung’s naturally clear skin and home care in the interview. Those comments remain the artist’s observations. They should not be rewritten into a medical claim that drinking water caused poreless skin or that one skincare habit explains a photographed complexion.

What the campaign lets us observe

The artist directly tells us Gel-Fit Tint 06 Seoul Girl was used for the AMUSE pictorial lip; Wonyoung selected that shade on set. Eye Color Palette 02 Cool Rose was used for the pink eye look. Seo Ok also described Dew Wear Foundation as a base she uses to emphasize Wonyoung’s skin texture.
The finished images let us observe A coordinated pink family connects eye and lip, while the surfaces remain different: the eye reads as softly spread color and the lip carries stronger specular highlights.
The source does not establish Wonyoung’s current 2026 private routine, the exact product and placement of every blush or lash detail, the medical cause of her skin appearance, or the assumption that the same products will create the same result on another face.

This separation does not make the article less useful. It keeps the most interesting parts intact without padding the gaps with fan inference.

A celebrity look is built from relationships

Imagine replacing Seoul Girl with another lip product that has a similar pink color but dries completely matte.

The eye color could remain unchanged. The palette could remain unchanged. Yet the relationship between eye and lip would feel different because the mouth would stop producing the same wet-looking highlights.

Now change only the eye. Keep the glossy lip but replace the softly diffused rose shadow with a dark, sharply graphic eye. The lip would still be pink and glossy, but the face would no longer have the same soft tonal continuity.

This is why celebrity makeup can be useful even when the exact products are discontinued later.

The product names belong to the historical look.

The relationship between placement, color family and finish is what can still be studied after the campaign has passed.

The difference between copying a product and reading a look

A shopping-first article would end after three product names.

A visual reading can go further.

First identify the broad color relationship. In this case, cool pink and rose tones create continuity between eye and lip.

Then separate surfaces. Powder eye color spreads over a relatively broad, flatter area. Gloss on the lip produces concentrated highlights on a curved moving surface.

Then look at the background of the face. The base is kept quiet enough that those differences remain legible.

Only after that do the product names become useful again. They tell us what was actually used to create the documented version.

This order makes it easier to learn from the look without turning the article into an advertisement.

Why the date belongs near the top

Wonyoung has appeared in many campaigns, music videos and public events since 2023. AMUSE has also released newer products and newer shades.

Search engines flatten time. A three-year-old campaign can sit beside a 2026 product launch on the same results page, and a reader can easily assume they describe the same routine.

That is why the date is part of the evidence.

November 2023 tells us which interview we are reading and which campaign the confirmed products belong to.

If a new 2026 Wonyoung look is documented by another artist interview, it should be treated as another piece of evidence rather than silently merged with this one.

Celebrity makeup changes too quickly for timeless product lists. A specific look can still remain useful for years when its boundaries are preserved.

How to look at the campaign again

On a second viewing, ignore the celebrity name for a moment.

Look at the eye and ask how far the pink spreads.

Move to the lip and watch where the highlight appears.

Look at the two areas together and decide whether you notice color harmony first or texture contrast first.

Then return to the documented products.

Cool Rose explains one part of the eye palette. Seoul Girl anchors the glossy lip. Seo Ok’s comments about base makeup help explain the quieter skin backdrop without giving us permission to reconstruct every product used in every frame.

That is enough to understand how this particular AMUSE look was built.
